Meditation music on YouTube has been around for a few years now but only recently, over the last decade or so, has gained popularity with people from all over the world. This is mainly due to the increase of stress, anxiety and tension in our daily lives.

This is a curated list of my favourite relaxing meditation music to put your minds at rest. Time to reset, reboot and stop thinking about anything. 🙂

Life is about maintaining a balance.

However, our daily life has become a rat-race, constantly thinking, working and overloading our brains with more and more information about everything.

All thanks to the invention and development of the Internet, and in particularly, smartphones over the recent decade.

We have become brainless zombies. Eager to serve ourselves only and think that material things and objects will ultimately make us happy.

We’ve disconnected ourselves from nature, which we’re a part of.

Have we really evolved or have we actually devolved?

Think about it for a moment.

During the current lockdown, which is due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19), life has been very hard, for nearly all of us, no matter where you live in the world, and so has death, unfortunately.

Current circumstances have forced us to think hard about what we have achieved in our lives and taught us about what is really important.

Our mental and physical health and wellbeing, not wealth.

Our family, not material things.

Being kind to each other, including to animals as well.

And most importantly, our planet, the environment we live in.

In the process, we’ve completely forgotten that we need nature more than it needs us, in fact, it doesn’t need us at all and can thrive without us. It can wipe us out in just a few seconds, if it wanted to.

But it keeps giving us chances to become better human beings, just like God.

And that’s why I’ve created this post, to help you to learn how to meditate, become good human beings, and help with the taking care of our planet. Not just for us but for our future generations.

Another thing I find helpful during these uncertain times is listening to Hindu God bhajans, chanting to Aum and the Hanuman Chalisa.

Music is meditation, meditation is Yoga and Yoga is Spirituality

Contrary to popular belief, Yoga is not just exercise, in fact, it has more to do with spirituality than anything physical.

Yoga means union. Connection to the divine within you.

It maybe difficult at first to concentrate but as you remain calm, silent and still, your mind will come to a stand still and relax.

Be still.

Be silent.

Stop thinking.

Close your eyes but keep your ears open.

Start listening and pay attention to the vibrations in the music playing in the background. You’ll enjoy it. I promise. 🙂

Remember, be still, be silent and stop thinking when meditating otherwise it won’t work for you. It is hard at the beginning but you’ll get used to it if you practise it daily.
